My sewing machine badge has been upgraded
I just fixed my own serger!! It was jammed, and I fixed it! Yay!
I'm making ruffles for the black and white natural form era day gown and watching 1995 P&P because between reading the Jane Austen sequel "Old Friends and New Fancies" (in which all the books characters come together...it's so much fun!), watching "Lost in Austen" (also a fun film), and <lj user="Bauhausfrau"'s post of that gorgeous black velvet pelisse she made, I'm on a Regency kick.

However, I did just find a repairman who does house calls! Hurray!
Today I am digging out a pattern for a bustle and hoping to find my yardage of premium black satin. I just found out I'll be in NYC in 2 weeks for the next Dances of Vice! Damn, I better sew fast!
