I have a sewing workshop day in a few weeks and I want to start on my first hoops and a burnished brown silk to go over them. So, I'll post pictures as I get them done.
That is great, usually when recreating a fashion plate or museum piece, you cannot see/know all the details and get disapointment. this ons is a succes!
Yes, Colleen Atwood did the same treatment for the blue gown in ST. The zig zag bodice/gown has been popular for a long time according to fashion plates, and it's no wonder! I've seen it as early as Regency, but I'm sure it's been around longer.
