Hee hee...there's nothing like knocking over your box of pins all over the floor for the first time in your new sewing room in your first house. The room has been initiated!!
Nah, mine wasn't on purpose. As usual, I accidentally knocked it over because I left the box right in the way on the floor like I usually do. I simply kicked it by accident when I was trying to walk to the computer. You'd think I'd learn by now, but I continue to leave it on the floor in the middle of the room!
Yay! I'm so glad to see you're back to sewing (in your new house! congrats!). I won't be doing anything until the end of the semester so I need to sew vicariously through you. Can't wait to see the next work of awesome you come up with.
Well, sort of. I had to get the machines out and a space cleared to make my friend's wedding veil on Sunday/Monday, so it started "the itch" to sew. I had started that reception gown in the early Fall, and I was supposed to wear it to my friend's wedding this coming weekend. I had a few hours today and thought I'd at least cut out the bodice fabric and set up the serger with the correct color thread. This will get done slowly, unfortunately!
That was what I was going to suggest. I have one of those extendo magnets (like a radio antenna) that I just swipe across the floor when I do that (or drop a needle that I can't find). It works great for that!

Man, I hope to do something like that by the new year.
