New gown

I'm making my summer Victorian gown and have decided on another Natural Form. I can't reveal the design yet. Beth gave me a ton of this great sheer white on white striped cotton. I washed it and it twisted up like nothing I've ever seen! It was like a long Fortuny gown when I took it out of the dryer!

Well, I finished ironing it all by the time Lord Goring admits he is going to propose to Mabel in "An Ideal Husband". Yay, so that's done.

Now to run some errands.

Oh fun! I've always been an early bustle gal but I'm really digging natural form look right now. I think I may go in that direction for my first steampunk venture actually...

I can't wait to see what you do!

My sewing machine still hasn't surfaced from the moving...I think I'm going to have to re-wear. Such a bummer.

Oh, I'm so sorry your machine is MIA! I have some books and purses that have yet to turn up.

Re-wearing is just fine! That dress you made last year was really pretty. A few people do that, so you'll be in good company.

I love Oscar Wilde, and An Ideal Husband is my favorite movie. I covet Mabel's red dinner dress.

Yes! I love that dress, too! I also love the outfit Gertrude wears when she is giving a talk for the Women's Liberal Association. The dark jacket and striped skirt are wonderful!
