The Olenska gown

As you know, I did more work on the Madame Olenska-inspired gown today.

Here is the TV 324 overskirt



I actually like it with the black underskirt. You don't end up seeing much of it except for the pleats, so it quietly ties in the black trim from the bodice.

it looks fantabulous! Will this be my new favourite outfit of yours? The pleats/gathers in the side of the over-skirt are particularly effective. It's a nice mix of "slim" and "drapery".
Those buttons look rather cool - are they little metal dome shaped ones, or is that my wishful thinking?

Thank you! No, the buttons are just plain old black dome shapes on a shank. I haven't yet used metal buttons, but I should!!

OMG! I looooooove this. I think it looks fantasatic with the black underskirt. The black trim at the top and buttons tie the whole thing together. It's the accents that make the red so vibrant.
