Regency House Party and sewing update

So last night, quite by accident, I discovered that a local PBS channel has been running Regency House Party on Thursday nights! I missed last week, but I saw most of last night's. I haven't seen it in quite a while as I have no idea where my VHS copy is that I recorded when it originally aired several years ago. Now I'm on a Regency kick and want to make a new gown, but I can't!

In other news, the pocket I attempted to make last week was a failure, so I had to re-cut a new jacket peplum. Yesterday I made the pocket flaps with contrasting piping. If I can't have a pocket, I can still have pocket flaps!

I didn't but I'm a bit of a freak in that while I have normal sized hands and head my wrists and neck run a bit small.

You can also not button the top two though. With the yellow outfit I usually have but I kind of liked the looks of having it unbuttoned a bit for my pink pirate (who's a bit more of a flirt) If you've got the neckline filled in with a frilly jabot it looks fine.

Also, as you can see from the icon, the collar doesn't meet exactly at cf. So if you're basing it on the collar, it will run a bit small, as long as the neck opening on the pattern is wide enough you should be fine.
