Aside from those missing 3 buttons that I talked about in a previous post, the jacket is done!

Even over a hoopskirt the jacket is still full enough that you don't see the 14" what-do-you-call-them...slits? on each side that help accommodate fullness in a jacket. This is one full coat! The entire hem of the jacket was slipstitched by hand. I did that while watching the final DVD of The Forsyte Saga, which contained such yummy Edwardian-1920's fashions.

I decided to make a Stash Dress since I have a few days left of vacation and I still haven't made one. I had about 10 yards of a beautiful black and purple shot taffeta in my stash. In fact, it was the first stash fabric I ever bought about 10 years ago! As I am currently in love with the Natural Form era, that's what I decided to go for. Here is my inspiration (and I forget the name of the doll site I got this from)

So far I've made the underskirt except for the deep pleated trim at the bottom. I have made the...uh...I guess I'll call it "petal" section between the overskirt and underskirt, and trimmed it with pleated black lace that was gifted to me last summer. Tomorrow, if there's time (we have a party to go to that starts at a strange time...like 4pm), I'll try to do a mock up of the overskirt. Not sure how to do the back yet, but I'll play around and see what I can come up with.
