That would make a cool steampunk cape. I love capes and own a few. I want to make a Victorian Christmas/Winter cape all white this year. I prefer them to coats. BTW I am working on steampunk outfits myself right now.
I have sizing and fitting problems alot with Victorian clothing myself. Right now I struggling a bit with the Truly Victorian pattern 476. I had to do the strapping somewhat creatively so to fit me at close to right as I can get it to be. I have a good size bust and am very curvy. Sigh, making good Victorian clothing is hard.
