I've been slowly working on a new NF overskirt from the TV 326 Hermione overskirt pattern. I'm doing the panniers and back in black taffeta, and the front apron in that black and red stripe taffeta I got recently. It's turning out cute, and I hope it doesn't make me look huge (and not in the good way).

Here's a sneak peek

i always wait with baited breath at your next project!

i was hoping actually you could give me some advice based on your knowledge of bustle patterns.
im researching this gown from Dracula - minas green day dress, when she meets dracula in his divine grey suit.( i have a costuming friend who is getting practically a film replica made of that suit, so i promised id get the green suit done so we could parade together at events!)

now im thinking TV463, modified for the bodice
now the skirts...
i know a petticoat is essential -
is the tv101 too much or about right..she does have a distinct poof to the back of her skirt.
the underskirt , i can see is loosely pleated or gathered all the way around. I cant seem to find a suitable skirt pattern for this...
The bustle and waterfall drapery....i guess the waterfall is a seperate attached piece..but i cant seem to work out the gathered parts in the back from the underskirt!

please help me, you are my only hope :D

That is totally one of my favorite movie gowns!

Yeah, starting with TV 463 is perfect. For the skirts, do the TV 101, then TV 170 (view 3) petticoat. From there you just have to draft and play with it. There was a girl at Costume Con who did this dress, and I took some photos:http://www.flickr.com/photos/14941369@N07/3815393510/in/set-72157617608568431/ I hope that helps a little! I have no idea how to get the waterfall drapery, but go ask on the Belle Alley, and someone will guide you through it!
