Took me long enough, but I finally got around to making a bodice to match that striped Wash overskirt I made this past summer. 97% was done as of New Year's Eve and can technically count for 2007. Today I did buttons and buttonholes and added the trim.








I'll be wearing this outfit tomorrow to appear in that music video.

The overskirt bustling feature was done with drawstrings instead of permanent tacks, so it was easy to let out, wash and iron.

I have no idea-it's not my term. It's the name of the skirt pattern from Truly Victorian, and she explained why it was called "Wash" one time. Sorry I don't have any further info!

(Knew I should have bought that costume and theatrical disctionary at that theater books store in NYC... despite the $50 price tag...)
