The gown is basically done and I just need to do fiddly stuff to have it 100%. Photos of the whole gown soon. To be worn to a ball in March!

first of all, your work is fabulous.. and i envy and drool (carefully off the silk) and when i have money i plan on hiring you to make me a gown...
sadly in this economy that may be a bit

as a bead merchant, well i naturally think "make necklace!" or "add beads" but thats just me.. *i* desperately wanted to add a pearl, Amethyst, or Jet.... or some combination of those.... necklace to the outfit.. but as stated, i sell the stuff...

Ah, gotcha! I do have a lovely jet collar necklace, but I'll have to see if it competes with the bertha. I might want something plain after all.

Oh, you are too sweet, but I don't take gown commissions. I only sell the hats. I do know lots of ladies who do, though, and will be happy to direct you if you decide to commission a custom gown!

ah well, when i have money i will happily accept suggestions .
sadly although i used to sew, my nerve damage makes. well. long involved or "fiddly" sewing next to impossible.. so these days i have to hire people to do it.

but your work is really fabulous.
