I put the BBC series The House of Elliot on my queue, and I watched my first installment last night. WOW!! I'm really in love with this series! As it's about two sisters who start a fashion house in the 1920's, I thought it was an appropriate topic for my sewing journal.

Has anyone else seen it and want to share how fun this series is?

It's also set in the 20s, about the social life in an English seaside town that's thrown into turmoil when a new resident arrives. It has Geraldine McEwan and Prunella Scales as the two leads who try to outdo each other. MArvellously bitchy and the clothes are just heaven. Sadly shot on video and apparently the video transfer to DVD is horrible, but it's highly entertaining for the social sniping done excessively well by two terrific actresses...
