1830's jewelry

Besides pearls, can anyone tell me what necklace and earring styles were popular in the 1830's at the hight of the big sleeve movement? I can't really find anything online that gives me any idea. Send me image links, please, if you know of any!

Yeah, the fashion plates I see online are too small to see the details of the jewelry. I can see that there's something...is it a chain, beads, something else? Can't tell!

At least I've figured out I like the long teardrop earring styles.

Long necklaces or watch chains, beaded or chain with large dangly earrings. I think your IFO. Even has some of the big earrings. Dover has a book "romantic era fashion plates" or something like that with lots of pics .

I tried to order that 1830's fashion plate book a few weeks ago, but it was out of stock on Amazon.

What is "IFO"?

I like the long teardrop style earrings and necklaces. I think I just need a better idea how to make them as period correct looking as I can. I just feel like it :D

A back issues of Piecework magazine, May/June 2000, has an article on beaded watch chains, which were a brief fad in the 30s, and were sometimes twined in hair, and draped around necks. http://www.interweave.com/needle/piecework_magazine/back_issues/05-00.asp shows a watch chain on the cover. They are actually fairly quick to make up on a cheap bead loom, as the rows are only 8 or ten beads across, IIRC.

if you search google for "antique 1830 earrings" (but not in quotes) you get links to well, obviously to antique 1830s earrings. Look at the images search also. Some are very pretty I must say :)
Obviously this will give you the stuff that was worth saving and survived, so the most fancy expensive stuff, but probably they wore the same shapes and styles in cheaper stones and metals? (eg. not diamond encrusted!)
Probably works also for "antique 1830 necklace"
