I thought I'd reward your patience with a shot of the completed bodice (minus back closure!). I really like it. I just hope the darn thing doesn't make me look like a big marshmallow!

It's things like matching covered buttons that make the difference between good and excellent or costume and clothes I think. Someone now might think, oh it's only a costume, or, it's only going to be worn a few times, so it doesn't matter. Whereas the Victorian lady would be wanting to look as best she could at the ball or whatever so those details would be important.
