Here is the moodboard I created for this project. Remember I decided to scrap the satin taffeta for velvet lapels instead. And here is the finished gown:

I hear there is an mourning art exhibit near my house, and an open house on Saturday. I want to wear this to the event, though I suspect no one would have worn moire bengaline as a half mourning fabric, that's what I had in the stash! Yes, I took creative liberty again.

This really looks great!!
What kind of fabric is the frontpart, it look very intresting but I can't see on the picture.
The sleeves look more modest and prettier, did you sized them down a little?
I still need to make this outfit and I will definatly size them down a bit, otherwise I would feel a bit clownesque.

Thank you!

The front inset is alencon lace gathered over white taffeta.

Oh, and you asked about the sleeves! No, I didn't size them down. I imagine I either didn't put as much stuffing inside as they did, or my fabric is drapier so doesn't stand out so much. Or both :D

That looks great!!
Really beautiful lace.
I do think yours looks way better then on the pattern, maybe because you kept things in the same colours (altough B&W aren't officially colours).
