My brooch collection

Since we've been talking jewelry tonight, I thought I'd share my ever growing brooch collection. Some are cheap, some are not, all are loved!

Cool; I have about 3, and they're all plain silver or other silvery metal, and not all sparkly like yours :D
I find it interesting that a number look like military decorations - are they military decorations or has that actually been a particular fashion in broaches at some point.

I love the paintings and photos of ladies of high rank wearing their medals, so they have always fascinated me. Two of them are vintage, one is store bought, and the red and blue one was a necklace I turned into a medal by using pirate toy jewelry for the ribbon/pin part. I need a fancy sash to wear my medals!
